Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question for Mixed by Gee about sound mixing your next track or album? We’ve provided answers to the questions we get asked the most, so you can get a better idea of what to expect from working with us.

Mixed by Gee operates out of Planet Studios in Montreal, Canada.

Our rates vary depending on the scope of the project. Shoot us an email with a demo of your song, and we’ll determine a rate and the next steps for getting your project going.

It’s always best to jump in right from where you left off. Please provide any instrumental stems the way you like them to sound. Vocal tracks should have the pitch correction committed to the file. As for effects, you can provide both wet and dry versions of the vocals.

At Mixed by Gee, limiting revisions isn’t our style, as we truly want you to be happy with the final product. With that being said, we are happy to do the necessary revisions (within reason, of course!) to get your song to where it needs to be.

This is a touchy subject. Before making any suggestions, we will need to hear the song. If the performance is great and the recording quality is good, we’ll often recommend that we proceed with the mix as-is.

This is dependent on several factors, but deadlines can definitely be discussed as we iron out the details for the project.

Mixed by Gee has worked with artists from pretty much every genre, from huge orchestrated classical music to Jazz, Rock, and even spoken word. However, the majority of our work tends to fall into the Pop category and ranges from EDM to Trap, and everything in between

Although Mixed by Gee mainly does sound mixing, from time-to-time, we’ll jump into the producer’s chair. We’re always curious to hear what people are doing, and if we feel we can help on that level, then we’d love to have that conversation.
